Safety Guidelines

Before Your Ride
  • Always verify the captain's details and vehicle number before boarding
  • Check the helmet condition and ensure it fits properly
  • Share your ride details with a friend or family member
  • Wear appropriate clothing that doesn't interfere with riding
During Your Ride
  • Always wear your helmet securely fastened
  • Hold onto the designated handles or the captain's shoulders
  • Avoid distracting the captain during the ride
  • Keep your feet on the footrests at all times
  • Follow traffic rules and regulations
Emergency Procedures
  • In case of emergency, use the SOS button in the app
  • Memorize or save emergency contacts (Police: 100, Ambulance: 108)
  • If you feel unsafe, ask the captain to stop at a public place
  • Report any safety concerns immediately through the app

Both, our captains and customers can report any kind of issues in Rapido through the 24*7 support feature on the app port & during the ride.

24 x 7 Customer Support

Immediate assistance available anytime, anywhere for both riders and captains. Our dedicated support team is always ready to help with any concerns or emergencies that may arise during your journey.

Insurance

Insurance can be claimed for any accident that occurs during the ride covering OPD treatment, immediate, low and accidental benefit with a maximum sum insured of ₹5 Lakh. It can be claimed as soon as the ride ends.

Two-way Rating System

Post the ride, both parties can give a rating to each other and any rating below 3 is flagged from Rapido’s end. Rapido reaches out to them within minutes to address their concern. The Captain is terminated immediately in case of any misconduct.

To further substantiate our commitment to Safety First towards customers & captains, we will be incorporating new features on our platform very soon. These include AI-powered ride monitoring, emergency SOS integration with local authorities, and enhanced background verification systems to elevate your safety experience.

App Safety Features


Trip Sharing

Riders can share their trip status with their respective emergency contacts on the Rapido app right after their ride starts.

Information Masking

Every woman rider's contact number is masked to protect their privacy and their interaction with the Captain happens only through app encryption.

SOS Button

The app has an SOS button which is a 24*7 in-app support feature. This helps the rider connect with an emergency team that is backed by on-ground sup-port in every city. Wherever required, the emergency team is equipped to get in touch with the nearest police station.

Captain Information

Once the ride is booked, the following details of the Captain are accessible to the riders:
-Captain's name
-Vehicle number
-Vehicle model name
-Past ride record
-Star rating given by other rider
